Rector's Reflections: We remember our beloved dead
Dear Friends,
Monday was All Saints Day, the day we remember Saints and loved ones who have gone before us into God's eternal realm of light and love. Our celebration of these beloveds will be this coming Sunday, when we are together (on-line or in person).
A few notes about Sundays' All Saints celebration:
1. The necrology (reading of the names of those who have died) will include those who have died since last November 1st, 2021 whose names have been sent to St. Paul's for prayer throughout the year. If you want to be sure your loved one is on that list, you can check here and add any names we left off. Names added before 9am Saturday will be included in the chant- others will be spoken.
2. There will be a spacious time in the middle of the Litany of Saints for you to speak (or type in) all of your beloveds' names who have died throughout the years. We hope you will do so! Consider writing their names down before the service, lighting a candle, and setting up a prayer space for these saints.
