If you've heard NPR's Moth Radio Hour, you know that it features true stories, told live and without notes. We (Betsy and Dan, your co-wardens) are planning what we hope will be a series of Moth-style storytelling events.
Please save the date to attend the first event, on Sunday, April 3, at 4 p.m. in Sherrill Hall, to be followed by a reception in the church yard (weather permitting). All ages are welcome.
For the afternoon event, we and Becky have chosen the theme of Connection, in part because many people have felt disconnected from the people and places that sustained us before the Covid-19 pandemic. We're seeking parishioners who would like to tell a 5-minute true story about connection. The connection could be with just about anything: a person, an animal, a place that feels like home, or the natural world. Or a connection with God the Creator, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. A moment of knowing and being known. A connection lost and found. An entirely unexpected connection. These are just some of the many possibilities.
If you cannot join us in-person, we have set up a Zoom link where you can join us online at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 3: Click here to join on Zoom!
