Haiti - How to Help
St Paul's Natick and the school and parish of Holy Innocents in Port de Paix Haiti have been collaborating since the mid 1980s. Many of our parishioners have traveled to Port de Paix and become friends with the community there. Since the Earthquake in Haiti on August 14 and as the death toll rises, our friends have been at the front of our minds and in our prayers.
This week Rev. Becky Gettel reached out to Fr. Wilky and he responded almost immediately assuring me that they were all OK. Port de Paix is far enough from the southern part of Haiti to have left Holy Innocence and the surrounding communities safe.
You are still encouraged to keep Haiti in your prayers, and all are invited to support earthquake relief through Episcopal Relief and Development if you feel so moved.
