Rector's Reflection: The Richness of Our Life Together
Dear Friends,
Even as Covid continues to limit our movement, the ebb and flow of our communal life is full and dynamic. I hope you will read through this E-pistle to stay updated on the many moving parts!
First, we are thrilled to be regathering in person again next Sunday (2/6) without a need to pre-register for church. Masks and distancing will still be required and our ushers and regathering team will meet you at the front doors to guide these efforts. Once our open pews are full (every other pew is still ribboned off for safe spacing), folks will be ushered downstairs to watch the service projected onto the movie screen. At the time of communion, you will be ushered upstairs to receive the consecrated bread. The wine will be received by our lay eucharistic minister on behalf of us all.
We do know that Covid in general and the Omnicon variant in particular is still spreading at a high rate, so we ask you to consider the risk of coming to church in person. If you are in any way vulnerable or if you have any potential Covid symptoms, please join us for church on-line rather than in person.
The following Sunday, 2/13, we will continue to worship at 10AM in-person and on-line (simultaneously) and then, after a short break to get folks home, we will hold our Annual Meeting at 11:30AM. Since you will be home, we hope you will be able to get some snacks, coffee, or lunch lined up for yourself as fuel for our work together:-). The Warrant (official announcement) for this meeting will be posted and emailed to you on Sunday (tomorrow).
The richness of our life together energizes me greatly, from the conversations we have been having throughout this week about our properties, to the little interactions I am blessed to have with you. I am grateful that our holding place for our life together continues to find flexibility through your ministries, conversations, and generosity.
Yours in Christ,
