Season of Creation
The Season of Creation, typically September 1st (Creation Sunday) through October 4th (Feast of St. Francis), is celebrated by Christians around the world as a time for renewing, repairing and restoring our relationship to God, one another, and all of creation.
This year at St. Paul's we will focus on the Season of Creation from September 8th through October 13th
The Episcopal Church joins this international effort for prayer and action for climate justice and an end to environmental racism and ecological destruction.
St. Paul's will use worship and formation resources to celebrate the Season of Creation. You'll notice in our liturgy that through October 13th that we are using some prayers that are special for this season.

And yet Creation teaches us that hope is present in the waiting, in the expectation for a better future (cf. Rom 8:20-21). To hope in biblical context does not mean standing still and quiet, but rather groaning, crying, and actively striving for new life amidst the struggles. Creation and all of us are called to worship the Creator, working together for a future of active hope and action. Only when we work together with Creation can the firstfruits of hope be born. Just as in childbirth, we go through a period of intense pain, but new life is coming forth.
